Sotogrande Studio approached the Katakumb project with a vision to evoke the rich heritage of ancient Egyptian culture through art. The façades, reminiscent of the grand temples of Luxor, were meticulously hand-carved by skilled artisans, who manually inscribed hieroglyphs that tell stories of gods, pharaohs, and the afterlife. Enhancing the façade, towering 12-meter sculptures of Ramses stand sentinel, serving as a reminder of the legacy left by one of Egypt’s most revered pharaohs.
Inside, the experience unfolds like the chambers of a hidden tomb, where vibrant frescoes painted in rich hues by talented artists adorn the walls. Bas-reliefs and intricately detailed columns illustrate scenes of daily life, divine rituals, and celestial journeys. Sotogrande Studio carefully studied each detail of ancient Egyptian art, from the types of stones used and their aging processes to the colors derived from natural pigments, ensuring that every aspect of the project authentically reflects the essence of this remarkable civilization.
